A New Chapter at Josie Porter Farm
For nearly two decades, our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program has been a meaningful way for us to grow food and share the harvest directly with you. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported the Josie Porter Farm through this model - your commitment has helped sustain this farm and our work. As we look ahead to the 2026 season, we’re making an intentional shift and transition.
Like many small farms, we’ve experienced the realities of limited labor and changing capacity. Farming is physical, seasonal and deeply human work - and this year we are intentionally scaling back. Rather than overextend ourselves, we are focusing on caring for the land, our team and ourselves, and the farm itself.
As a result, Josie Porter Farm will continue to operate a very limited availability Farm Stand format this season. We will not be offering a CSA share per se, and the amount of produce available at the stand will be smaller than usual.
This choice allows us to:
· Farm thoughtfully without overcommitting.
· Maintain the quality and care you expect from Josie Porter Farm .
· Offer continued flexibility in how you shop.
· And protect the long term sustainability of the farm.
While the season may look different, our commitment to growing food and connecting with our community has not changed. What’s changing is how we structure the work so that Josie Porter Farm can continue – strong, steady and rooted – for years to come. We hope you’ll visit the farm stand and continue to foster local agriculture supported by the community.
Support the Farm
You might be asking yourself, how can we continue to support the farm? You can still shop with us at the Farm Stand - both online or in-person. While availability will be limited, you will still find fresh, locally grown produce with the same care we put into every crop. And a curated farm stand experience with products from local and regional producers that you’ve come to love. You can also purchase gift cards for yourself, friends, family or to donate to your local food pantry.
