Sunday, July 24: TASTE event in the Lehigh Valley, Bethlehem, Steel Stacks - 12-4 pm
Designed to showcase our local food system, Taste provides the opportunity to experience the Valley's most imaginative cuisine from its finest chefs, meet its most dedicated farmers, and purchase its freshest locally grown ingredients.
This FREE festival features a Lehigh Valley-wide farmers market, zucchini 500 race, milking station, workshops and demonstrations, games and contests, movies, children's arts area, live music, and more! Come eat, play, shop and explore.
2016 On-Farm Events
Wednesday, August 17th - Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center Meanderings Farm Walk - "Insects" - Outdoor intepretive walks exploring the Josie Porter Farm property. Walks are open to the public and held the third Wednesday of the month May-October from 4 pm - 6 pm. Cost is $6/non-members and $4/members of EE Center or members of the CSA program, children under 12 free.
Sunday, August 21 - Lobster & Clam Dinner, 4-7 pm. Fresh Maine Lobster, Quahog Clams, Baked Potato and Sweet Corn Dinner with all the Fixins'. This meal is provided, cooked and served by J.B. Kelly
Seafood Connection - Wild caught, Live and Fresh from Maine! Also providing live music and non-alcoholic beverages (keg birch beer and
farm fresh mint tea) .
Wine and Hard Cider Tastings provided by Rowan Asher Winery
& Cidery (RAW), Snydersville, PA with a program on “Pairing Wine with Seafood” with the wine
& cider makers from RAW, Matt & Misty.
